A9NY Studio was commissioned by New York agency Doubleday & Cartwright to produce a film and photo campaign for Converse to launch two new capsule collections of the iconic ’80s ERX basketball silhouette redesigned by streetwear legend DON C.
In less than seven days, we assembled 30 crew during NYFW, booked 12 talent (including one great dog named Dillinger), and brought out a talented team of set designers to rapidly bring to life the lush greenery versus cold metal environments of two imaginary rival teams, Animal and Metal, on a Brooklyn waterfront. This urban jungle set was accented with basketball hoop props designed by New York Sunshine. We welcomed back our friend, French director Axel Morin as the director and photographer of the campaign.
Deliverables included (3) :30-60s spots; (3) :15s social media cut-downs; and (30) still images. Following the new product launch, the campaign was released on converse.com, Foot Locker locations and select retailers nationwide.

An original short documentary by director Ben DiGiacomo that premiered on NOWNESS offers a unique glimpse into the life and mind of the thriving New York City based artist Bradley Theodore. The Turks and Caicos native is known for his vibrant skeletal paintings of the most iconic names in fashion like Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour.
Between a live painting on the streets of Manhattan’s Lower East Side and a more intimate conversation at Bradley Theodore’s own studio, we are taken through a day in the life of the artist and his creative process. The film also features an appearance by Jillionaire of Major Lazer, and exclusive footage of a captivating body painting collaboration between the artist, internationally acclaimed models and world-renowned fashion photographer Antoine Verglas.
